Therapy in Valencia Center

How therapy works?

01 Book an appointment

Booking your first appointment is as simple as sending me a WhatsApp or an email. I'll need to ask you a few basic questions and have you fill out some documents.

02 I'll respond to you ASAP

You can expect a reply within a few hours. Once we've agreed on a start date and you've filled out the documents, I'll provide you with the link for online therapy.

03 First Consultation

We'll have 90 minutes to assess your reason for seeking help and your personal situation (work, relationships, family). I'll suggest a visit frequency, but the final decision is yours. Subsequent sessions will be 60 minutes long.

04 Intervention and Follow-Up

After the initial sessions, as we achieve results and make progress, we space out the sessions. Ultimately, we conduct follow-up to maintain achievements and prevent relapses.

How often should you see a psychologist in Valencia?

Generally, in the beginning, I’d recommend 2 or 3 visits in the first month to assess your situation and set goals. After that, we can adjust the session frequency to your needs, typically every two weeks. As you make progress and achieve your goals, we can space out the sessions to help you maintain your achievements and prevent relapses.

How long will I need to be in psychotherapy?

The duration of therapy depends on your commitment, task completion, and the severity of your issues. You can stop it whenever you wish; just talk to your psychologist to tailor it to your situation.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR THERAPY SESSION?

Complete the tasks assigned by the psychologist and follow through with your therapeutic commitments. Outside of the session, take notes on your challenges to discuss them effectively during therapy. If you feel like you’re not getting the most out of therapy, talk to your psychologist to address it.

WILL ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHAT I TELL MY PSYCHOLOGIST?

No. Therapy is entirely confidential. Nothing you share with a psychologist can leave that session, except as stipulated by Article 8 of the Code of Ethics of the General Council of Official Psychologists, which states that the psychologist must report violations of human rights (…) of which they become aware in the exercise of their profession.
